  10. Club Toaster Technical Support

  12. Since Club Toaster is a software product we will offer some limited 
  13. technical support.  We have gone to great lengths to make the software
  14. easy to use and self-explanitory.  The large number of Club Toaster 
  15. members forces us to limit our technical support to Club Toaster content
  16. ONLY.

  18. We will not answer questions on CD-Rom Drivers, CD-Rom Drives, Toasters,
  19. Flyers, Copying files, Workbench, etc....  Please help us out by calling
  20. only as a last resort.  If you discover a problem with a certain file it
  21. is highly likely that another member as informed us.  In these cases we
  22. will correct the problem on future issues.

  39. Getting Started
  40.  
  41. To make navigating through the content on the CD a little easier we have 
  42. included an easy to use interface.  Amiga 2000 and 3000 users double-
  43. click on CLUBTOASTER.A2000 icon.  Amiga 4000 users double-click on 
  44. CLUBTOASTER.A4000 icon.  
  45.  
  46. Amiga 4000 owners:  If the Club Toaster interface does not come up after
  47. double clicking.  Do the following:
  48.  
  49.                 1. Go into your Workbench/Prefs
  50.                 2. Double-click on Screenmode
  51.                 3. Press SAVE
  52.                 4. Double-click on Overscan
  53.                 5. Press SAVE
  54.                 6. Now try loading Club Toaster again.

  58. Once loaded you will notice that the main screen has many buttons that 
  59. lead to the different sections of the CD. The interface is meant to show 
  60. what is on the CD.  The actual content is located in directories on the
  61. CD.

  66. Things to know:
  67.  
  68. Animations and Moving Backgrounds ---
  69.     These are provided in PAR (Personal Animation Recorder) and FLYER 
  70.     formats.  In the future we will try when possible to provide the 
  71.     Lightwave scene files use to make the animations and moving 
  72.     backgrounds so that you can alter and render to the format of choice.
  73.     
  74.     Par and Flyer owners should copy the correct Animation and 
  75.     Backgrounds to your Flyer and Par Harddrives.  NOTE: The animations
  76.     will not play from the CD or a regular hard drive.

  79. Objects -
  80.     This months objects must be installed. Go into the Information 
  81.     subsection of the Object section to find the install utilities. 
  82.  
  83.         Jurassic Collection - A file requestor will appear asking you to
  84.                       locate the Toaster/3d/Images directory or the 
  85.                       Newtek/Programs/3d/Images directory.  Please do 
  86.                       this and press OK.  Please free 5 megs of hard 
  87.                       drive space.
  88.                       
  89.         Wedding Collection  - Two file requestors will appear the first 
  90.                       one is just like the Jurassic Collection (see 
  91.                       above).  The second ask where to you want to 
  92.                       install the OBJECTS.  You have the choice of 
  93.                       selecting a directory in which to place the objects 
  94.                       or to cancel and load objects from the CD.  
  95.                       Please free 5 megs of hard drive space if you 
  96.                       install to hard drive.
  97.                       
  98.         Once the install is finished the Jurassic SCENE files will be 
  99.         located in your 3d/Scenes directory.  
  100.         
  101.         We have not tested these objects with Lightwave 4.0 PC yet.  If 
  102.         any problems arise we will issue the Objects again in Lightwave
  103.         4.0 format.

  106. Next month look for The New Cathedral, 1967 Vette, and other objects.

  109. Grab Bag -
  110.  
  111.     Composite Studio
  112.         A complete transcript of the manual is provided in the Grab Bag 
  113.         section. It is recommended that you print the manual out.  Also 
  114.         composite studio itself has    an online help that will give some
  115.         assistance.  
  116.         
  117.         If you would like the actual manual we have about 100 left.  To

  125.         Flyer and 4.0 Owners - Version 1.1 is  NOT 100% compatible with
  126.                        the new ToasterPaint some of the Arexx commands 
  127.                        were changed.  If you plan to use Composite 1.1 
  128.                        it is recommened that you install your old 2.0
  129.                        or 3.1 ToasterPaint and ToasterPaint Support files
  130.                        to your Newtek/Programs dir.  Be sure to backup or 
  131.                        rename the 4.0 Files.

  133.             Club Toaster members who wish to upgrade to the all new 
  134.             Composite Studio Pro at a special price call 1-800-525-2203.

  136.             The new version works with all version of ToasterPaint 
  137.             (2.0,3.0,4.0)

  140.     INSTALL: Go to the Composite Studio subsection located in the Grab 
  141.         Bag.  Hit the install C.Studio button.  Choose the directory 
  142.         where you wish to place the program and press ok.

  145.     Music:  This months music is provided by Token Video Productions in 
  146.         8svx, Studio 16, and Flyer formats.  In the future music 
  147.         selections may be in CD AUDIO format so that everyone can take 
  148.         advantage of this great music.

  150.         Studio 16 AD1012 users should select either the right or left 
  151.         channel for mono playback.   Files are denoted with a _L or a 
  152.         _R, indicating left or right channel.

  155. Wipes
  156.  
  157.     Color AGA Wipes -  These wipes are for A4000 Toaster owners ONLY.  
  158.                         They will not work on a A2000 system.  
  159.                
  160.     Mono Wipes      -  These wipes can be used by all Toaster Systems 
  161.                         3.1 and 4.0
  162.     
  163.     
  164.     Toaster 3.1 Users - Copy the 3.0 effects into your Toaster/Effects 
  165.                 drawer.  Also copy the Project file located on the CD in
  166.                 the the Project Directory to your Project directory on
  167.                  your hard drive.

  169.                 Then Rename the project files, replacing the _
  170.                 (underscore)  with a . (period)
  171.  
  172.                 Then load the project into your switcher to use.  
  173.                 
  174.     Toaster 4.0 Users - Copy the 4.0 effects anywhere you want to or use 
  175.                 them from the CD.  Please note that some of the COLOR 
  176.                 wipes are quite large and may take time to load from CD.

  180. Textures, Graphic Boards, Brushes, etc...

  182.     These files are located in there respective directories on the CD.
